V-Day Treat

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY MY LOVES

I'M BACK! AND WITH A YUMMY NEW POST. IF YOU KNOW ME, YOU KNOW I ADORE FOOD. WHAT BETTER WAY TO CELEBRATE VALENTINE'S DAY WITH MYSELF WITH A SEXY PIECE OF STRAWBERRY SMOTHERED IN SWEET CHOCOLATE. DID I TURN YOU ON? NOT REALLY I GUESS...

THIS WAS A MESSY PROJECT BUT IT WAS SO MUCH FUN MAKING THEM. IT WOULD BE EVEN MORE OF AN ADVENTURE DOING it WITH YOUR SIGNIFICANT OTHER/FRIENDS. LICKING CHOCOLATE OFF OF EACH OTHERS FACES, THEN KISSING passionately. Or feeding strawberries to each other all cute like...I clearly like to be cute and shit.

You can make these how ever you'd like! with Whatever chocolate you want and be as creative as you want to be! (why are you yelling kat!?)

| Here's what I got |

Strawberries (duh)

Chocolate (duuuh) - I bought White chocolate, Milk Chocolate and Dark chocolate

coconut shaving

| Here's what I did |

Wash and dry your strawberries. Put them in the freezer for 30 minutes. Chilling them helps with the chocolate dipping part.

Get a pan or two ready with parchment or wax papper.

When your 30 minutes is kinda almost up, start melting your chocolate. I just simply separated mine into different bowls and microwaved them for 45 seconds at a time, stirring in-between each take. Do this until your chocolate is melted. Feel free to also prepare other decoration ideas. For example I used coconut shavings on some of mine. You can also use sprinkles or flavoured powders.

When 30 minutes is up, and you have all of your chocolates melted, you can start dipping! That's all it is really. I tried not to get my leaves in the chocolate and I also tried to cover most of the strawberry without making my fingers messy...okay now that I think about it, I could of maybe used a small fork...It's in the past now. Once You dip them, just set them on your trays. No drippy drippy now.

Feel free to leave them plain or combined colours or use different decorations!

Once they are all done, put them in the fridge for a minimum of 15 minutes to harden the chocolate. I actually put mine outside since it was cold out but not too cold. Then they are ready to eat!

| The Drizzle |

For the drizzle, I portioned whatever coloured chocolate into a plastic bag. I just cut a small hole in the coner and quickly drizzled the chocolate over the strawberries. This can be done even when the strawberries have been sitting for a little bit.

It's simple...you sprinkle the coconut shavings over the strawberries. BUT you must do so right after you have dripped the strawberry. You could also roll them in the topping of choice. Basically the chocolate on the strawberry needs to be wet for the topping to stick. This will go for any topping.
