TEA TIME

My first venture into tea was trying the Japanese-style green tea - Genmaicha…you know, the one they serve at all Japanese restaurants. From there, my tea shelf just grew. There are thousands of different teas out there, all with unique flavours and benefits to them. It’s an amazing way to get your water intake for the day. A great way to flavour your water, hot or cold for that matter.

As you can tell, the teas I mentioned above are very helpful to the body. There are many other teas that have these certain ingredients and other flavourings, they tend to be more fruity and fun.

I personally like to drink my teas black. I never add sugar/sweetener or milk/cream. Just straight tea. Depending on the tea, my steeping time may differ…for example I like to continuously steep my Chamomile tea for as long as it possibly can go for where as when I drink green tea, I need to take it out otherwise it can get way too infused. It’s totally up to you though. I feel if you want to get the purest taste and benefit from drinking tea, it should be done black, just like coffee. It’s also the most healthiest way.
