My thing right now is natural products.
I started with my hair and I’m working my way down my body. So far it’s doing wonders for me. My hair has never felt so amazing after washing it. My skin is thanking me for all the hydration I’m giving it and I’ve recently added a few new pampering products to my shelf for extra care.
Hair
At the beginning of this year, an opportunity came to me through a friend on Instagram for a company called MONAT.

I had recently coloured my hair back to all brown after being blonde for so long. I wanted a natural look. When the job opportunity to work with MONAT came about I said what the heck. I wanted to do good for my hair. I wanted a natural look and a natural feel and since MONAT was all of the above I took a leap and joined the most amazing team ever. I’m working with people who support and educate one another. People who love with they do and support the company they work for.
MONAT repairs, replenishes and regrows hair from the root, out. It revamps your hair to it’s original state. My hair feels light, soft and it smells amazing. Even after blowdrying it, it doesn’t smell burnt or turn out dry.
Recently I’ve been using the Volume system - shampoo & conditioner. It makes me hair feel so airy and smooth. I leave my shampoo in for about 2-3 minutes while I wash the rest of my body. I then use the conditioner and leave that in while I wash my face. Once I get out of the shower I use a leave-in conditioner (not shown), the Inner Force Restructuring Serum and the Blow Out Cream.
You know I love oils. I love using this one from MONAT with my body moisturizer (currently using Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion). It adds hydration and a smoothing touch as well as a lovely, natural smell.
Body
Body scrubs have always intrigued me. I’ve actually never used one before until now and my oh my is it lovely. Coming from one of my all time favourite brands Ouai, this product has that pampering, pompous smell of the beach. I’m also in love with their Rose Hair & Body Oil - I always add it to my body cream for that extra hydration and natural smell.
My newest products for that extra pamper. I want to really start taking my time getting ready and saving time to the do more face masks and taking extra care of my skin.
My first product is the Luxurious Shave Foam by Saje Wellness. I’ve been a huge fan of Saje for a while now and this is my first bath product I’m trying out from them. I’ve used shaving foams before and I do like them but since I was going for the natural vibes I decided to give this a go and so far so good. It’s super light (like a foam soup) and all you need is 2 pumps to spread around your leg for a luxurious shaving experience. Goddess is also one of my favourite scents from Saje so naturally I had to choose this one. Saje offers:

Face
It took me years to find the perfect products for my skin. I’m sure there are still products out there but these so far work magic for my skin. Some are new in and some I’ve been using for a few years now.
I know I’ll never give this one. The Water Cream by Tatcha is life. I don’t know if it’s the fact it’s a Japanese brand and I’m Japanese (half) but this cream is perfect for me. I was searching for a cream for hydration that wasn’t heavy, super scented and full of chemicals. Tatcha is also a cruelty-free brand that does not use synthetic fragrances, parabens and all that nasty stuff.
Next is the Rose Floral Toner by Fresh Beauty. I use this right when I come out of the shower and spritz it all over my face. I let that soak in and then go in with my moisturizer mentioned above. This spray adds to my hydration routine. That hint of rose smell is soothing and refreshing on the skin after a nice hot shower.
New In
I’ve made it a thing this year to mask more. Hair and face. I want to take more time to take extra care of my body. I’ve started using Moisturizing Moon Mask by Glossier on a weekly basis to pump up my hydration game. It feels like my face is submerged in water. It’s cooling and super light weight. Not only does it hydrate but also helps with soothing, oxygenating and conditioning. Glossier is also a cruelty-free brand that does not use any paradens, fragrances and is great for all skin types.
I’ve started using a serum in my hair when I started MONAT and I’m loving it. So I decided to try it on my face as well. I was looking for something for an overnight booster. I found myself waking up with dry skin when all I did was sleep. I also wanted a little help with my blemishes - to just tone them down and have a nice, natural look without makeup. The serum I chose is the Stem Cellular Anti-Wrinkle Booster Serum by Juice Beauty. This serum is super light weight and has a fresh citrus smell that’s not over powering. It glides onto my skin and soaks right in. Juice Beauty is a cruelty-free brand that formulates their products with organic ingredients and doesn’t use any of the bad stuff.
I used to never pay attention to my hair and skin care. Being influenced by others has made me realize how important it is. I live in a place where my hair and skin are affected by pollution and nasty stuff on a daily basis. Taking care of my hair and skin has never felt so good. It also gives you some alone time like if you’re masking, you have 20 minutes to be calm and collective. Use it to meditate or read a few pages of your book or spend time with your pet. It has also helped me slow down. It may seem like a lot of steps I’m taking for my hair and my face but really it’s not. I know take my time getting ready to allow my products to work properly and soak in. I really enjoy my time getting ready and I hope I’ve inspired you to do the same.
